Heritage Week Talk at Broadford Arboretum, Co. Limerick – Sunday 26th August 2012 marks the 12th successive Heritage Week event at Broadford Native Woodland Arboretum, which is located opposite the Church in Broadford Village, Co. Limerick.
This free event will take place on Sunday 26th August from 2 pm to 4 pm in the afternoon.
The Green Party is organising a National Day of Green activity entitled ‘Just Do It Green Day’ on Saturday 30 June 2012. The activities being organised are very varied and include a picnic where visitors will be asked to make a promise to the environment to help change world we live in.
In Limerick, the local group is organising a Green Free Cycle or Swap Shop which will serve two purposes, the first to reuse unwanted items and the second to help those in a constrained economic environment from having to purchase new products. This event will take place on Saturday, 30th June from 2.00 – 3.30pm in Costelloe’s Tavern, Dominick Street and is open to the public. It’s free so do bring along Books, CDs, DVDs, Jewellery, Prints, Ornaments, Plants, Handbags etc. No heavy electrical appliances or live animals will be exchanged however.
The Limerick Greens are showing the documentary End of Suburbia on Tuesday 10 May at 7.30pm, upstairs in the Locke Bar. Anyone interested in sustainable living and peak oil is warmly in invited to attend. We are planning to have a short discussion after the film and then adjourn to the bar for more informal chat.
